Reflexology With Doreen Hughes

Training as a nurse in 1980, it soon became apparent to Doreen that we are much more than a list of conditions requiring lots of intervention.


But it wasn’t until an accident in 1984 that she was introduced to complementary and alternative therapies.


It was this experience that prompted her initial training with the Association of Reflexologists in 1996.


She has since qualified in Swedish massage, Hopi ear candling, LaStone therapy, Indian head massage, Reiki, Metamorphic technique, and crystal healing.

Professional Development

Doreen is committed to Professional Development, regularly updating knowledge and skills. Attending accredited courses, which have include Vertical Reflexology (VRT) and Reflexology Lymphatic drainage (RLD).


Over the years she has worked with many clients from a variety of backgrounds which included: adults with learning difficulties, dementia, and palliative patients.

Doreen’s aim is to provide a holistic session based on client assessment, this might mean that she uses a combination of the therapies to enable you to achieve your goal.


She is a full member of both the Association of Reflexologists and Metamorphic Association.

Metamorphic Association

The Metamorphic Association exists to disseminate the Metamorphic Technique; to provide an opportunity to join together in a way that brings out and expresses each person's unique individuality and skills; to offer an opportunity to participate in a collective enquiry into the nature of transformation and to protect the integrity of the Metamorphic Technique into the future.
